Your Turn How to Be an Adult
This book from New York Times bestselling author Julie Lythcott-Haimscomes comes as a great help for young people who become adults and have to face up the five markers of adulthood: finish their education, get a job, leave home, marry, and have children. These markers for some of the young adults can be stressful if they sense they can not fill it as a sort of a checklist. The author is really frank, compassionate, and inspirational. The author interviewed many of them who feel they’re just playing the part of “adult” while struggling with anxiety, stress, and general unease but also those who have successfully launched their adult lives. This is the second bestseller of Julie Lythcott-Haims, a former Stanford dean of freshmen and undergraduate advising and author of the perennial bestseller How to Raise an Adult.
