Activity Description
Educational Consulting for Gifted, Talented, and 2e is one of the services I offer that completes my offer as Learning Coach for Gifted, Talented and 2e Children in Miona’s Classroom.
I, as an educational consultant for Gifted, Talented, and 2e, assist mostly parents and students, but also schools (any educational organizations), through problems they may have encountered related to education. I have a degree in education (I used to be a French Teacher at the beginning of my career).
Educational Consulting Session is not psychotherapy. Instead, in this session, we use strategic planning, values clarification, brainstorming, and goal-setting to reach goals that we identified together.
Objectives
The goal is to assist a parent in forming a sort of partnership with professionals (educators, administrators, etc.).
After reviewing documents, written feedbacks, and action plans, I discuss with and advise parents how to create a mutually supportive team around them, and avoid provoking child(ren)’s or educators‘ defensive attitude.
The Next Sessions
Public
I offer 1-to-1 sessions to parents but also to teachers, educators, administrators who work with gifted children. The 1-to-1 consulting session is a powerful way to fully understand challenges and implement solutions.
